Same day appointment, but experience only ok

I called to ask for an appointment for an urgent health problem, and was told that I could only see a nurse practitioner, not a GP, despite calling first things for an appointment. I went to see the nurse practitioner, and just felt that she was a bit dismissive. I was in a lot of pain and I didn't think that she was particularly understanding. I was pleased to get some reassurance that the problem would subside, but didn't come away feeling like I'd got the help I needed. I didn't have to wait at the surgery though - I arrived on time and was called straight in.
