Interested in taking part in a focus group?

July 25, 2022

The test makes it possible to let people know of their likelihood of having cancer in just 48 hours. Instead of currently having a ‘2 week wait’ while being referred to a hospital for urgent investigation. Over 90% of people referred this way don’t have cancer, but can spend weeks worrying that they do.

An NHS evaluation of this innovative technology is going well and it could be in use in the near future. It is important that patients benefit fully from this new approach. We’d like to invite you to a focus group to hear more about the Pinpoint Test and discuss how it can be used to best suit patients.

When and where is the focus group?

The focus group is on 27th July 2022, from 11am to 1pm.

There is the option to attend online via ZOOM or in-person at:
The Old Fire Station, Gipton Approach, Gipton, Leeds, LS9 6NL

What do I do if I’d like to attend?

To register your interest, please contact Healthwatch Leeds on 0113 898 0035 or info@healthwatchleeds.co.uk and specify if you would prefer to attend the meeting in person or online.

Who can attend the focus group?

Participants must live or use services in the West Yorkshire area. The focus group is open to anyone, however, if you have ever been investigated for or diagnosed with cancer it would be particularly great to have you there. You don’t need to have any special medical or technical knowledge, just a willingness to share your honest opinions and take part in discussions.

To say thank you

All attendees will receive a thank you voucher, and lunch and reasonable travel expenses will be covered.
