New care survey launched

June 1, 2021

We are excited to announce the launch of our latest survey.

We understand that your NHS and social care may have been affected by delays and/or difficulties since March 2020.

Have you had to wait longer than usual for an appointment? Perhaps you’ve had difficulty contacting your GP or had an assessment postponed?

We would like to hear about your experience. How are these delays and challenges are affecting you?

We’re here to listen to your experiences and build a clear picture of what you need from the future of health and social care.

We’ve already heard from lots of people so we know this is an issue that’s important to you and your loved ones. Simon called us to let us know he’s having to wait for a further 18-months before he can get his knee replacement operation. Mary who’s in her 60s told us she’s been waiting for a hospital appointment for months. She’s tried to contact the NHS services to find out what’s happening but couldn’t get a straight answer.

This is where we come in, not only are we here to help you get to the bottom of these challenges; the information you provide will help us influence NHS managers to do things differently in our local area.  In September 2021, we will provide a report to NHS services across Kirklees.  The report will include what you have told us and we will recommend improvements to local services.

Your voice can help shape the NHS in Kirklees in the future.

Thank you.
