Very difficult to make appointments with GP
The telephone appointment system does not work properly. I called from 7:55 till 8:30 to make an appointment for my daughter. Since 8 o’clock it said the system was busy, then after calling a few times repeatedly I went into a queue system but was kicked out of the queue every 10 min and had to start the call again. I tried Friday, Monday and Tuesday and was unable to make an appointment. It is not the fist time that this happens, it have take me up to 5 days calling every day to make appointments in the pass. You can’t go into the building. I think it is dangerous, if somebody is very ill and can’t get through. When they finally answered the suggested that I take my daughter to the urgent health unit in Burnley, but it was not an emergency, she just needs to see a GP. This problem has been going on for more than a year now. They were blaming it on Covid before, but what is the excuse now.
